01. Who are you ?
I am a Celtic harpist, keyboardist, vocalist, music producer, and photographer. I compose neoclassical, cinematic, electropop and industrial music.
02. What are you listening actually ?
Lately, I’ve been jamming and drifting to stuff from Mind in a Box, Dahlia’s Tear, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Áine Minogue, and Sylvaine. Having a fairly eclectic listening library keeps me from growing tired of one or two music genres.
3. How you came to music ?
Ever since I was little, I always loved music. At 14, I started to sing a little and joined a music program in college. However, I lost interest in a strict classical music career and began recording electronic music. In 2006, I released my first digital experimental album under the name Nakjaarna. My involvement in other music projects over the years helped define my own production habits.
4. What gear do you use in studio/live ?
I use a Casio Privia PX-160, a Rees Grand Harpsicle with a Boss Shimmer pedal and a Walrus Multi-Texture Reverb pedal. I record and mix music with a Scarlett Focusrite 3rd Gen, and an Audio Technica AT 2035 Condenser mic. My current DAW is Studio One, and my everyday « go-to » plugins are Spitfire Originals Epic strings, DS Audio Tantra 2, Hybrid 3, Valhalla Shimmer, and Ujam Finisher Neo.
5. Do you have an anecdote or a memory to tell us about your music ?
Being interviewed on a metal radio station years ago was very exciting. It felt as though the hosts and I had all been friends for a lifetime. We all laughed and talked for hours.
6. Which artist would you dream of working with?
Sigur Rós has always influenced my music in many ways, and it would be cool to work with them.
7. What are your plans for the future?
I do enjoy creating music videos, so there are plans for a few more in the near future. I will also be finishing up an electronic album (under Silver Carpet) in the spring.
